Pool, Spa, and Amenity Use in Palm Coast Plantation
A practical look at pool, spa, guest, and amenity-use guidelines for Palm Coast Plantation residents.
Pool and Spa Use at Palm Coast Plantation
For residents who plan to use the clubhouse amenities regularly, the pool and spa guidelines are worth knowing before family visits, holiday weekends, or everyday use of the amenity area.
The rules are less about formality and more about keeping the space orderly, safe, and available for residents and their guests. They cover guest limits, operating hours, pool and spa capacity, weather precautions, amenity cards, and parking.
The pool, spa, playground, shuffleboard, bocce courts, horseshoe courts, Intracoastal fishing pier, and Emerald Lake boat dock may be used from dawn to dusk. Tennis and basketball courts have separate evening hours, with use available from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Resident and Guest Use
Palm Coast Plantation amenities are intended for residents and their guests. Guests, including non-resident family members, must be accompanied by a resident when using the amenities.
Residents may bring up to four guests in addition to extended family, with total attendance limited to twelve people including the residents. The community defines extended family as grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren. During major holiday weekends, larger reservations are not granted beyond that twelve-person limit.
Pool Area Guidelines
The main pool and kiddie pool have a posted capacity of 90 people. No lifeguard is provided, so use of the pool and spa is at each resident's own risk. An adult must accompany anyone under 18.
The pool rules are mostly the kind of standards expected in a well-maintained private amenity area. Swimmers should shower before entering the pool, wear proper swimming attire, and keep food under the gazebo, not on the pool deck. Glass containers, smoking, animals, running, diving, horseplay, loud music, and excessive noise are not permitted in the pool area.
Spa Use
The spa has a posted capacity of 10 people and is limited to adults. People under the age of 18 are not permitted in the spa.
Because spa use involves heat and longer exposure to warm water, the guidelines are more specific. Residents are asked to enter and exit slowly, avoid using the spa alone, shower before entering, and observe reasonable time limits. The recommended spa limit is 10 to 15 minutes, then leave the water to cool down.
The community guidelines also advise against spa use when under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers, or other drugs that may cause drowsiness or affect blood pressure. Pregnant women, elderly persons, and people with heart disease, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure are advised to consult a doctor before using the spa.
Weather and Safety
Florida weather can change quickly, especially during the warmer months. Residents and guests should clear the pool, spa, and deck area when they hear thunder, since lightning may be nearby.
Residents are also asked to turn off the spa jets and heater after use to conserve energy and help keep the amenity ready for the next person.
Amenity Cards and Parking
Each property is issued two amenity cards. These cards are for owner use and may not be issued to or used by non-residents. Replacement cards are available for a fee.
Amenity parking areas throughout Palm Coast Plantation are intended for residents and guests using the related amenities. Personal vehicles may be parked with the proper pass or decal.
