19-Miles of Cinnamon-colored Sands

The closest beach to Palm Coast Plantation is Flagler Beach, just a 10-minute drive away and the center of Flagler County's 19 miles of Atlantic shoreline. Known for its cinnamon-colored coquina sand, Flagler Beach is the area's liveliest stretch of coastline, popular with surfers and lined with beachfront restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

Beyond Flagler Beach, much of the county's coastline remains remarkably uncrowded, making it easy to find a quiet stretch of sand even during the busier months. Many locals head north to beaches such as Bay Park or Jungle Hut for a more relaxed day by the ocean. Beach access throughout Flagler County is free, and designated sections also welcome leashed dogs.

Flagler's Parks & Recreation
A New Adventure Every Day

Flagler County offers an extraordinary collection of parks and preserves, ranging from manicured gardens and historic estates to wild stretches of salt marsh, coastal scrub, and waterfront trails. Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is particularly impressive, with formal gardens, reflecting ponds, a rose garden, and centuries-old live oaks. Across A1A, the park continues to the Atlantic, where exposed coquina formations create one of the most distinctive beaches along Florida's coast. At Princess Place Preserve, 1,500 acres surround a historic lodge once owned by an exiled Russian prince, with miles of trails, salt marshes, and the broad waters of Pellicer Creek to explore.

Much of this is remarkably close to Palm Coast Plantation. Next door, Herschel King Park offers an Intracoastal boat launch, fishing pier, playground, and waterfront picnic areas. Across the road, the paved 8-mile Lehigh Trail follows an old railroad corridor beneath a canopy of shady trees. Elsewhere in the county, raised boardwalks cross marshlands, riverside paths provide opportunities to spot dolphins and manatees, and Palm Coast's Central Park offers a more urban experience with a landscaped lake, fountains, and brick paths perfect for an evening stroll. For those who enjoy being outdoors, there is an exceptional amount to explore within minutes of your Palm Coast Plantation home.
